Membership Information
Thank you for your inquiry about membership with the Billings Community Cable Corporation, broadcasters of "Community Seven."
Memberships are divided into several categories and arranged on an annual basis. Please keep in mind that Community Seven is a nonprofit entity and depends on public support. We invite and encourage members and sponsors to contribute to the best of their ability.
Individual Membership (individuals and small groups)
$25. Suggested membership contribution. Membership includes training and orientation.
May produce and air 2 half hour programs each month. Individuals may request more frequent programming, which is based on availability and the non-profit rates.
Non-Profit Organization
$200. Membership dues. Membership includes training and orientation. May produce and air 2 half hour programs each month. Non-profits may extend programming to a half hour per week basis for an additional annual contribution of $200 for a total of $400, if the time is available. An hour per week, if available, requires a contribution of $800 annually.
Corporate Membership
$400. minimum. May produce and air 2 half hour programs each month. Membership includes training and orientation. Programs may not be commercial in nature, but your sponsorship will be noted on air, at the beginning and ending of each broadcast. Corporate members are encouraged to consider the degree of studio time, equipment use and staff involvement in production when determining the amount of their contribution.
Major Sponsors
$500. and above. May produce and air programs in the public interest that may exceed normal time allotments, i.e., school board meetings, commissioner meetings, city council, health care, etc. Major sponsors are encouraged to consider the degree of studio time, equipment use and staff involvement in production when determining the amount of their contribution.
Training and Orientation Sessions are required and offered weekly. Please check with the Community Seven office to learn when the next training is scheduled. Depending on the capabilities of the member, programs to be aired can be produced in the Community Seven studio or produced at other locations. Members are responsible for crew members and camera operators for programs produced in the Community Seven studio. Minimum is one person to run camera. Training on camera operation, character generator operation, technical direction and orientation will be provided at no extra expense for all persons involved in the production of that program. Contact the Community Seven office for the time and date of the next available training session after becoming a member.
Community Seven reserves the right to reschedule any programs in order to broadcast live news-oriented or public affairs broadcasts. Members whose programs are pre-empted for this reason will be provided another time slot.
